Claddagh Song

My thoughts are as glad as the morning
My heart is as light as the dew
With this ring, I remember the passion
And I can think only of you

Your gift of those bright happy hours
Stay with me through each night and day
With hands joined forever and ever
More than mere words can ever convey

Together we stand in a rainbow
And glow with the colours of love
Forever, we will be together
Held in the bond of our love

Coolattin Poets Society
for Royal Claddagh

A unique collection of new Claddagh poetry specially commissioned by Royal Claddagh, Ireland, to celebrate the Royal Claddagh ring and its centuries of tradition in words and song.

The Coolattin Poets Society was created to produce a new kind of verse. Following in the original Celtic traditions of the spoken word, these poets have created poetry that is alive, poetry that speaks directly to the listener. These verses are written in Coolattin, have all been recorded in the local village of Shillelagh, and are recited by the authors themselves. The resulting poetry is lyrical and recorded with haunting Celtic background music.
